What we can learn from plants

Educating ourselves will help in understanding all aspects of this healing plant. The cannabis plant contains cannabinoids, these are the same cannabinoids produced within our own body's Endocannabinoid System. Internal and external cannabinoids signal cannabinoid receptors which regulate a variety of physiological processes.
We have 2 different types of receptors CB1 Receptors are located in the Central Nervous System and the Reproductive System of males and females. CB2 Receptors cluster in the body mostly found in tissue responsible for immune responses. Cannabinoids produced naturally by the body or by the cannabis plant engage in reducing inflammation and pain. There are many cannabinoid receptors in specific membranes throughout the body.
Neurons contain CB1, Human Cell Membranes contain CB1 and CB2, Brain Cells contain CB1, Hypothalamus and Pituitary contain CB1, Digestive Tract contains primarily CB2.
